Ballard Library

Wednesday, July 02, 2008

5711 24th Ave. N.W.

684-4089

This library branch, opened in 1963 is one of the busiest branches in the city. It will be replaced by a brand new library and Ballard Municipal Center being built at Northwest 56th Street and 22nd Avenue Northwest.

The current library offers a maritime collection, a Native American collection and a neighborhood history file. History buffs should visit the first Ballard Library in the Carnegie Building on N.W. Market St.
