Pet Of The Week

WITH "MONKEY" THEY HAVE THEIR HANDS FULL. When Jessika Daly and her son Quattro, 7, took "Monkey," their Chihuahua, to Ballard's Syttende Mai Parade, the puppy got a lot of attention from the crowd. She gets plenty of attention at home, too, including a Corgi and two cats to romp with.

Meet Monkey

Wednesday, July 02, 2008

This four-pound Chihuahua prefers cheese to bananas, even though her name is Monkey. She got a lot of attention and pats on the head when Jessika Daly and her 7 year-old son, Quattro, accompanied their puppy to the Syttende Mai Parade. Monkey seemed to enjoy the crowds as much as they enjoyed her.

The Daly's are not sure where Monkey came from. It seems Dad was in cahoots with Santa when the young pup arrived last Christmas.

"We don't know if she was rescued or not, but we do know she came from the North Pole," said Quattro.
