Pig Out To End Hunger

On Thursday, Oct. 2, eighteen Phinney-Greenwood restaurants will help fight hunger in north Seattle as part of the sixth annual "Phabulous Phinney Pig Out," a benefit for the PNA Soup Kitchens. Come "Pig Out" all day long - breakfast, lunch, dinner, dessert and coffee after that.

Helping the Homeless

The Ballard "Homeless Project" is accepting donations to assist people living on the streets. Checks with "Homeless Project" written on the purpose line can be sent to: Ballard Food Bank, 7001 24th Ave. N.W., Seattle, WA 98117; Our Redeemer's Lutheran Church, 2400 N.W. 855th St., and Trinity United Methodist Church, 6512 23rd Ave. N.W., Seattle, WA 98117. The food bank is also accepting non-perishable food, clothes, sleeping bags and personal hygiene products.
